A lock represents boundaries, protection and the places you have sealed off from others, and sometimes from yourself. A locked door points to a part of your life you are not ready to open. A lock that is too tight reflects over-protection or an unwillingness to let anyone in. A broken lock signals a loss of control over a boundary. This dream asks you to examine what you are protecting, and to ask whether your locks are keeping danger out or keeping life, and connection, at a distance.
